Barbaro's racing partner, Edgar Prado, has donated the colt's Kentucky Derby saddle to the Jockey's Guild, who will auction it the night before this year's Kentucky Derby, to raise funds for permanently disabled jockeys.
The saddle was used by Eclipse-winning Jockey of the Year Edgar Prado in other big races, including the 2002 and 2004 Belmont Stakes.
The saddle worn by Barbaro in an unforgettable Kentucky Derby 132, and autographed by Prado, will be auctioned at the Mint Jubilee Gala on May 4th, the night before Kentucky Derby 133. Proceeds will benefit the Disabled Jockey Fund, which currently helps about 58 disabled jockeys recieve the assistance they need.
