In the Grade 2 Milady Breeders Cup Handicap at Hollywood Park, Nashoba's Key made it four wins in as many lifetime starts with her Graded debut, defeating front-runner Hystericalady and multiple Graded stakes winner Balance, those two finishing second and third respectively. Carla Gaines is the winning trainer, with Joseph Talamo the winning jockey. Nashoba's Key paid $12.80 on a $2 win. The final time for the 1 1/16 miles was 1:42.16.
Ninety-cent favorite Hystericalady led the entire way, with Nashoba's Key overcoming the front-runner by 3/4 of length at the wire. It was 4 1/2 lengths back to Balance in third. Ballado's Thunder was fourth.
Nashoba's Key was unraced before her four-year-old debut this year, and won her first three consecutive races over grass, all under sharp times. She trained well on Hollywood Park's cushion track to win her first race off the turf.
The $1 Exacta paid $17.20, the $1 Trifecta paid $33.40.
