Garret Gomez was in the irons for Obrigado's half-length victory in the 1 1/2 mile Grade II San Luis Obispo Handicap on Santa Anita's turf.
Bravo Maestro ran away with the lead by as many as 18 lengths at the half-mile point, before the pace wore him out and the rest of the field charged in. The winning trainer was Neil Drysdale. On the Acorn took second place after One Off was disqualified to third for interference in the stretch.
