A record crowd of 33,821 at Keeneland witnessed first hand as Slew's Tizzy wired the Coolmore Lexington Stakes on Saturday. With Robby Albarado on board, Slew's Tizzy won by 3 1/2 lengths over another longshot, the 36-1 choice Starbase. The $2 exacta paid $1,002.20. Forty Grams was third.
Trainer Gregory Fox said he would probably not run Slew's Tizzy in the Kentucky Derby, preferring to not run horses back after only two weeks.
Belgravia, the 9-5 favorite, bled and finished last.
