At Santa Anita Park, CA:
Sunshine Millions Sprint - Smokey Stover defeats Grade I winners Proud Tower Two and Bordonaro. Smokey Stover was piloted by Aaron Gryder and trained by Greg Gilchrist (trainer of 2005 Eclipse winning Sprinter Lost in the Fog).
At Gulfstream Park, FL:
Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint - Shaggy Mane wins by 7 and 3/4 lengths.
At Santa Anita Park, CA:
Sunshine Millions Turf - Lava Man wins, bringing his lifetime earnings to more than four million dollars.
At Gulfstream Park, FL:
The Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf - Miss Shop wins by 1 and 1/4 lengths over Memorette.
Sunshine Millions Classic - McCann's Mojave, piloted by journeyman jockey Frankie Alvarado upsets the Classic field with a win that paid $69.80.
