Street Sense, winner of last year's Breeders Cup Juvenile, and this year's Tampa Bay Derby, is the morning line favorite in a field of seven for the 1 1/8 mile Grade 2 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland race course. Regular rider Calvin Borel will be on the mount. Teuflesberg, upset winner of the Southwest Stakes, will be piloted by Edgar Prado; and Corey Nakatani will be on board Great Hunter again. |

A field of ten will run in Saturday's million-dollar Grade 2 Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park. The 1 1/8 mile contest will test Curlin, who is undefeated in two starts, and was made the morning line favorite at odds of 7-5. The race drew familiar names from earlier Kentucky Derby preps run down south this past Winter, such as Officer Rocket, For You Reppo, and Flying First Class; plus a first time starter, Olympic Chief. |

A look at upcoming races from Easter Sunday through next weekend. It will be less than four weeks until the Kentucky Derby, with the Bluegrass Stakes and Arkansas Derby the two preps most trainers will want to make their final. The Coolemore Lexington Stakes on the 21st is one of the last chances to make graded earnings and qualify for the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby on May 5th. |
