Balance tests undefeated Nashoba's Key in the Milady |

 Balance returns from a two-month layoff in the 1 1/16 mile Milady Handicap, Sunday at Hollywood Park. Trainer David Hoffmans is using the Grade 2 race as a prep for the Grade 1 Vanity. Seven fillies and mares are entered in the $175,000 race, and 3-for-3 Nashoba's Key looks ready for the challenge.
Four-year-old filly Balance has won six from eleven career starts, last winning the Grade 1 Santa Maria Handicap on March 10. Regular rider Victor Espinoza will be in the irons.
Jerry Hollandorfer will contest the race with front-running Hystericalady, winner of the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs last time out, winning the seven-furlong sprint by four lengths over the very unfortunately named Pussycat Doll. David Flores will ride.
The upcomer looks to be Nashoba's Key, undefeated in three career starts--albeit over turf. Joe Talamo will ride for trainer Carla Gaines. The four-year-old filly has been training well over the cushion track and could come up big in her graded debut.
Corey Nakatani will ride Ballado's Thunder for Rafael Baccerra. The four-year-old filly is coming off a third in Hollywood Park's Grade 3 Hawthorne Handicap last month. Just prior to that she won a $75,000 stakes by three lengths at Santa Anita.
