2006 classic contender Steppenwolfer--who closed into third in last year's Kentucky Derby, and fourth in the Belmont Stakes--will run a 1 1/16 mile Allowance in a field of eight horses. Results are in...
The race will be a prep for Steppenwolfer to run the Grade 3, $150,000 Razorback Breeders' Cup Handicap at Oaklawn on March 9.
Trained by Dan Peitz, Steppenwolfer spent last winter at Oaklawn as well--winning an Allowance, taking second in the Arkansas Derby, and third in the Rebel (races won by Lawyer Ron).
