Triple Crown Productions announced on Tuesday that this year's number of Triple Crown nominees for the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes has increased to 460 after the secondary deadline. 10 more horses joined the contenders for a nomination fee of $6,000, including probables for this weekend's crucial Kentucky Derby preps.
The record number of 450 early Triple Crown nominees were accepted for a smaller fee of $600 in January.
