Scat Daddy noses the Fountain of Youth |

Favorite Nobiz Like Shobiz took third to Scat Daddy in Saturday's Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes, run at 1 1/8 miles. In a close finish, Scat Daddy nosed Stormello out of the win, and it was only a half length back to Nobiz Like Shobiz.
California shipper Stormello set the pace from inside and held off Adore the Gold, but was unable to maintain first place in the stretch when Scat Daddy rallied from fifth to a close victory. Nobiz Like Shobiz was bumped by Meritocracy before angling to stalk the pace from outside at three wide, and finished gamely for third.
Trained by Todd Pletcher, Scat Daddy paid $13.80 to win. It was the second time Scat Daddy won over Nobiz Like Shobiz, although Nobiz won their last meeting in the Grade 3 Holy Bull.
